KNOCKOUT
The First Nations Dreamtime Knockout is Australia’s first interstate Indigenous rugby league carnival, showcasing deadly talent, pride and community.
Founded by Braedan Kennedy and George Reuben, the event will take place in Townsville from 16 to 18 October 2026, bringing together 32 teams from across the country for a fast-paced, three-day tournament celebrating culture, connection and competition.
A total prize pool of $120,000 is up for grabs, with $100,000 for the winners and $20,000 for the runners-up.
Each squad may include unlimited rep players and up to three non-Indigenous players, who must be clearly listed on team sheets.
Games will run in 25-minute halves, with 30-minute halves for semi finals and the grand final. All matches include a 5-minute half-time and golden point if tied.
More than a competition, Dreamtime Knockout is a celebration of identity and community. It puts Indigenous footy on centre stage and unites players and supporters from across the nation.
